Most common freak inserts

What are the most common freak inserts you use. Are there only really 3 or 4 that are needed. I would rather not buy the whole set.

if you get more than 3, its cheapest to buy the whole kit (8 inserts, back, front)...although the most common paints are b/w .684-.692

He is right, it is really not cost effective to buy only a couple. One or two, OK....but by the time you buy 4 you might as well buy the entire set. Never mind you have to buy the case seperatly as well.

I really don't see why people still get the freak anyway, there are better options.

unless you shoot really small paints, you can get by with a .689 or .691

I most often use:

.679 Silver
.691 Green
.693 Gold

If you were to only get two, get the .691 & .693 IMHO.

My friends use old 75 rnd pods to hold their inserts :shrug: they each have 4 inserts... I know they both have red, blue and silver, I think one has green and the other yellow? dunno though about the last 2

What gun is it for?

Unless I am shooting a closed bolt gun I ONLY ever use a .691 barrel.

If I wanted to get three I would go for the .684 and .689 also. But then I wouldn't buy SP.

I prefer the J&J barrel kits and think there are better options on how to spend your money out there.

Complete Freak Kit (Front, Back, 8 inserts, case) = 169.00

Piece by piece
Back = 59.99
Front = 42.99
Inserts = 19.99 * 3 = 59.97
Total = 162.95

Savings by getting 3 inserts instead of buying complete kit = 6.05

I leave it to you to find the where the value is.

I still would look into another barrel kit, either with inserts(such as Scepter), or with compete bores(CP, Pipe)

I have liked both my Scepters more than the freak I had.

Before someone posts lower prices, I didn't look for the lowest prices, I just used the first numbers available, I'm sure someone can find the pieces cheaper. I doubt the savings will be a whole lot anyway.

Question regarding Insert set not entire barrel system,assumes he all ready has a barrel.......
