Freak Questions

1st- Which end goes in first?
2nd- Because i have a mag, should i use a bigger bore because it is blowforward?
3rd, what methoud should I use to determine best bore size?

Place the insert into the Freak back so that the bore size is visible in the window.

Bore size depends on the paint, not the type of marker. Place a ball in an insert and look through the insert at it, you should see 2 or 3 gaps of even space around the ball. Try to blow the ball out of the insert like a blow gun, it should blow out with some resistance. Try 3 to 5 balls this way and see which insert fits best over all.

i once read that you should go one size smaller than were you could blow it out with ease, is that incorrect?
also, it seems like with my paint, from .689-.695 all have the same easiness to blow out.

I always place a ball in the insert, if it blows through, go down, until you can't blow the ball through anymore. Then go back up one. Or stay with that one, I have heard of the using one size bigger, but I have never noticed a difference.

on a side note, how good is the freak at cleaning itself out?

Sometimes with my LX, if the barrel is too small for the ball I get double feeding. The first ball will get shot about 1" down the barrel, far enough to get another ball fed.

If I run my Freak a bit loose I don't have that problem.

Cleaning itself out, why? The only time I clean my Freak is at the end of the day. Sorry, I do not even carry a squeege when I play.

Once in awhile I will rain-x my barrel in case I do break a ball in the barrel. The worse thing on the Freak is cleaning out the porting on the Freak front, I typically just run it under some water and its clean, no problem.

i cant say i have Ever shot through a break with my freak. Im now using a Boomstick and i can shoot through a break like nothing.

go ahead and argue about its not the barrel and what not.. its the truth.
