if i buy an x valve from airgun designs store online can i just put it on my gun and start shooting??????????

No, you will need to follow the instructions that come with it (mainly oil it). Also when I first got mine, one of the o-rings was not in place. Then when you try it, you will probably need to make adjustments. As it breaks in you may need to make further adjustments- it isn't that hard, just follow instructions, check the tech forum for problems if you have one (someone else certainly had the same problem earlier). If you really get stuck, post a question on the tech forum, most people here will help you pretty quick.My first paintball gun was a splatmaster
