            I have pumpers that are way mnore than 500, planning on dropping 1500 on a pump this fall

                  correct - standard 3/8" dovetail

                  The mounting bracket that comes with the sight is a duel setup. The sight comes setup for a 7/8" width dovetail(most common for rifles). What you have to do is flip the mount upside-down for a 3/8" setup.
