Whos ever mag that is needs to put more heat on that shrink tube, lol
Looks like they used a hair dryer.. blah. You need to use a lighter for shrink tube so it looks like this:
Don't be afraid, touching the flame to the shrink tube won't hurt it at all if you wave the flame back and forth.

It's not grey shrink tube, it looks grey due to the flah on the camera, it is black. Here is a better picture:
