    Has anyone ever tried this?

Has anyone ever tried to powercoat SS line? Just curious because I hate macro-line but I like they're "purty" colors. Is it even possible?

since ss line is flexible, the powdercoat would crack and flake off if it was bent. If you had a Hardline it would be possible

just get some shrink tubing and put it over the top of the braided...
      lots of people do this...
dont know where to get it off hand but it's pretty cheap

I've heard of people using colored shrink tubing to cover SS line.

you cant powder coat it because of the soft (meltable tube on the inside but you can however use heat shrink tube found at local radio shack

Many forms of heatshrink tubing are available from electronics stores. Radio Hack and the likes will have shorter lengths. You could also try online catalogs like jameco and the like.

This is from a computer "enthusiast" type store.
This is what I assume you mean by heat shrink..
