AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Functionality wise, not a whole lot. Both use the Xvalve.
Xmag features:
1. Single aluminum, CNC body with removeable breech(vert or warpfeed). No more rail.
2. Autococker barrel threading
3. ULE trigger frame
4. ACE(Anti-Chop Eye)
5. Higher BPS cap on the board with no burst mode options.
Emag features:
1. Still ueses SS body and rail configurations.
2. Twist lock threading.
3. Newer ones come with the ULE trigger frame.
4. No ACE.
5. BPS is capped at 16 and has burst mode options(via jumper).
However, the ULE Emag(ULE body, ULE rail, ULE trigger frame, CNC battery pack) can be built to be lighter than a stock CNC Xmag. You'll also get cocker threading, Angel ball detent, and Angel feedneck threads.
Remember also, if you are buying an emag from an online store, make SURE you call ahead and see if they have Emax valves and ULE frames. There are a lot of onlines stores out there with old stock. Usually they wont let you have a new one over an old one if they have an old one, so you just have to move on to another store.
