Manike are we going to have to worry about your neighbors calling the cops if the party gets too loud?

Probably. But we can just stroll 500 yards into the party area of Town. I Live right on the edge of Deep Ellum. I say we go get loud in Coyote Ugly...

I've already been told off for playing music too loud... and I don't have a stereo. It was through my DVD player and TV!

LOL Me too ... I have a ungodly high wattage 5.1 dolby digital setup for my DVD player. I had it cranked up one weekend checking out some DVD audio disks that a buddy brought over ... oh man was that nice.

              head count for Whirly Ball

We are making reservations at Whirly Ball (http://www.whirlyball-laserwhirld.com/) for Feb 21st (Saturday night) from 8pm-11pm (possibly 2 hours, depending on how many attend). It comes out to $150 per hour, divided by everyone that attends. The more people go, the cheaper it would be for everyone. This includes unlimited use of our personal whirly ball court, our own "party" room, food, and unlimited soft drinks. For those of age who are planning to drink, you can pay around 11-13 bucks for a wrist band that will get you unlimited beer and wine. If you want to play laser tag, it's 5 dollars per game. We need a good estimate of how many people will be there (including AO'ers guests). We have to call in advance to let them know how much food we will need and to arrange everything.

So, please post if you plan to attend! We need to give them notice atleast 2 weeks before the event!

Whirly ball sounds like fun, count me in for it.

I'm planning on attending all the fun stuff for TX AO weekend, except friday (drivers ed that day) and the alcohol stuff. Other than that, people will have the rest of the events to get sick of me.

Here's a couple pics of a bunch of AO'ers playing Whirly Ball in Chicago so that you can get a better idea. It's a lot of fun!

Man, I've read the threads many times, and I just wish I could go so bad. But having no job, money, or transportation (live way up in Canada) I hope you guys get pictures, possibly video footage, posters, and I'm planning on buying any magazines that have an article on this meet. Have fun all, I wish I could come !

Good thing is, if you do this next year, I'll save up with money I get from a summer job this year and come!
