    Powerlyte Scepter

I am just wondering something very quickly. I purchased a Scepter at the NJ NPPL. I have heard from some very reliable people that it is probably the best insert barrel system out. The inserts are very well polished and they are long, so they are close to the most effiecent length. I have also heard that they are not all that good. I am more inclined to trust the people that say that they rock than the ones that say they suck.

I am just wondering what AO has heard about the Scepter? And if anyone else has one how do they like it?

Joel, you know i love mine with a passion! Greatest barrel EVAR!

fast to clean, quick to change, and dead on man. They rock. You will see, shoot yours a few times and you will wonder why you were shooting any thing else

I have the original-model Scepter. Shoots great! Just wish I could have the new tip. But overall, I have no complaints. Except one.

I'm selling it anyways. Why? Titanium Paintball Longbow. Best system out there. I got the Scepter to try it out and review it. Did, and now selling it. Getting a Longbow.

No matter how nice an insert system or 2-piece system is out there. Nothing competes to the hardbore finish to the Longbow! I've played with Freak, Scepter, Empire, DYE, Lapco, J&J, CP, Thunderpig and BOA even. Scepter being one of the best in all those, too. But still, doesn't touch the Longbow.

i have had great luck with my scepter, i like it alot. ive never tryed any other barrel kit on my gun though. i tried different kits that other people had on there guns. the kit works great, but i think it comes down to having good consistantly sized paint too. which my feild seems to get very often.

Speed Kills.........but so does everything else only slower

              Talk Is Cheap, But...

Well, people (especially in paintball) love to talk. They especially love to talk a lot about things they know nothing about. Tom's been fighting that for years and that's one of the reasons this very forum is so successful. There are a lot of great barrels out there, like J&J, Hammerhead, Smart Parts, Dye, Empire, AND yes, Powerlyte. I could TELL you how great my Scepter is...or I could just show you what's on my 'gun.

I don't know what you people with the old tips are complaining about....I think they look the best! Unfortunately I have the new tip. My Sceptre has worked good so far. Very easy to use. There didn't seem to be any noticeable accuracy improvement over my boomstick, however.

The main reason I like it is because I can use extremely cheap paint with it (bore sizing option of course). My boomstick didn't like nel splat too much as it was the wrong bore size. At any rate great barrel and will pay for itself soon in money savings.....

I could care less about the tips look. I just don't like how I can't buy new inserts! If I lose, bend, or it wears out. I have to buy the WHOLE DAMN THING again!

you can too buy them separate. i know a powerlyte dealers AIM name that i can hook you up with, but be warned, inserts are 30 bucks a pop. if you intend on buying more than 1 or 2, you might as well just buy a whole new 3 piece kit. PM me if you want his name.

it's really nice. very easy to achieve high ROF and and very comfortable for snap shooting. it takes a bit to get used to the odd shaped trigger, but once you do it's nice.
