    Xmag vs. ULEmag vs. hypermag

Looking to buy a new mag soon, just cant decide on which one!!!

What would the pros/cons be and how would they compare to each other between a used Xmag, a full ULE-mag, or just a tricked hyperframe/xvalve/ulebody, etc...?

And dont tell me to go try them and see which one I like more, theres no possible way I can try out any of them.

Getting a True E-Mag (or X-Mag) will be far superior to a HyperFrame modded whatever-Mag.

You will have manual mode, and the reliability of the AGD design, with the huge solenoid and battery.

I went with an all ULE E-Mag and I love it. I like the clean lines of a ULE mag slightly better than the XMag. I also am very happy without the Warp (and I did try one) so the vert feed only is not a problem for me. You can get a Warp ULE body if that's more to your likeing. Changing between the two is not as easy with the ULE, you would have to have two ULE bodies.

You do give up ACE and the nice on/off switch also. Those are minor issues for me personally.

The Xmag is, of course, going to be the nicest. It will weigh less than a full ULE Emag and probably slightly more than the Hyperframed mag (because of the battery pack vs. a 9v.) The body and rail have been integrated to save weight and for a smoother look, the on off switch is actually a switch instead of a plastic pin, there is an Anti chop eye (not like you'd need it though with LX) and of course the milling and anodizing options, the changable breeches and it will be a gun that few other people have. Unfortunately they are extremely expensive and there is a very long waiting list for them. As far as a performance/price ratio is concerned, I don't think they're worth the extra $$ over an ULE Emag.

      On to the Emag...
I think this is your best bet, as it will give you a very light setup (although the heaviest of the 3 but we are talking differences in ounces here, most likely you won't be able to tell a difference) and for what you get they are a great value. It will have many of the features of the Xmag, including the hybrid and manual modes you can't get with the Hyperframe. However, the on/off pin is very annoying for some. This should be more of a minor annoyance than anything else. Get a ULE Emag and you will have a lightweight and good looking gun that shoots like a mag (a good thing ) and you won't have any trouble putting balls in the air very quickly. And if you forget to charge your battery (which you probably won't since you own an Angel right now) then you can run it in manual mode.

The Centerflag Hyperframe is a good frame, but if I'm not mistaken requires slight modification of the sear (correct me if I'm wrong) and in any case will void your warranty. It might save you a couple ounces on weight because there isn't the large battery pack, but it also doensn't have manual mode. But you will have the option of a foregrip instead of a battery back to hold on to.

In conclusion, I would go with the regular Emag and full ULE setup. The only reason to go with the hyperframe would be if the large battery pack bothered you.

Actually the full ULEmag is a few ounces lighter than the xmag..

Where would I actually go about getting all of the ULE stuff? I know the body and trigger are in the store, what else is there?

Agreed, there is some confustion about that point. An Emag will _all_ ULE parts will weigh basicly the same as an X-Mag. That's the:

ULE Grip Frame (now standard on all emags as well as xmags)
ULE Rail (only was standard on colored emags, you can buy raw and anno yourself, or have a stock rail milled out)
              ULE Body (an option)

Getting such an EMag is a slight chore. Tuna can hook you up tho.

If you are going with an emag, you wont need the ULT (Ultra Light Trigger). The only time you would notice it is in manual mode.

Like I said above contact Tunaman for all you custom mag needs.

You can get everything from the store: ULE rail, ULE body, ULE trigger frame, and even the milled out battery pack. But you would need to spend a little extra for a nice ano job as some of the pieces come raw.

Actually, it's been said that the ULT will slow down the Emag in E mode. I think he meant ULE trigger frame.

                      Just a quick question,,,
The price on the website for a e-mag, is that for real ?
If so, is it the ALL ULE like yall are talking about?
You can get a e-mag new for close to $700.00

On the weight issue... I remeber both an all ULE E-mag and an X-mag being within one or two ounces of each other. So they pretty much weigh the same. I mean arguing over a few ounces is pointless when you put a full Halo, drop, and nitro tank.....

The X-mag is the superior gun.

the only way to guarantee that you will definitely get the newest version of the emag (lvlx, xvalve. etc) is to either order from agd directly $$$ or contact roguefactor or tunaman. i have personally done business w/ rogue and i can guarantee that you will be happy w/ his services. either of them will be considerably cheaper than the agd store.

no matter what the online stores tell you, they dont have the newest ones in yet. i had to learn the hard way. i ordered/returned one to 888paintball and then ordered/returned one to paintballgear.com. both told me they were the new version and neither one was. needless to say i was not happy.

How much $$$ would I be looking at for an all ULE-mag? That includes body, frame, rail, milled batt. pack, xvalve, am I leaving anything out?
