Well it's just a Kingman bolt-on E-frame. Since it's made by Kingman it should work pretty well for the Spyder. I doubt you'll NEED nitro, but it would help your shot to shot consistancy due to rapid firing.

as far as i understand, it is just like the elcd grip, or the hyperframe. The olny difference is it is made by kingman. You would not need nitro, unless you wanted to spend more on air then your gun.
