If you haven't noticed, the rare earth magnets are very powerful, and as such, I highly recommend using on/off orings for spacers because paper and cardboard will compress with time under the constant pressure of the magnets where as the orings will not.
You may also find it hard to get the paper/cardboard out without scratching up the body whereas the on/off onring will fall right out once the magnet is removed.
I use 1 oring and 2 magnets on my emag, my son uses 1 oring and 1 magnet on his xmag.
