    Question on the Xmag

I've been through 3 emags, and love them... except a few things about them...

1- weight -kind solved with xmag
    2- huge battery- not solved
3- LX leaks -xmag has LX

    with that said, my question...

What is the over all wight of the XMAG with the batt on?

also, how well do the eyes work? Well enough that the LX never kicks in? Well enough to put a non LX bolt in and not chop?

I am coming off a GZ Timmy, which I never had a problem chopping, recock of 70psi and anti-chop eyes ... and a halo b helped with that... =]

Any input would help... thanks guys..

LX leaks? Unless you don't have the right carrier on, it doesn't leak.

As for the Eye- I don't even bother turning it on. I'd rather have a mechanical anti-chop. I've fried an ACE board, and I know a few others have.

Weight- the weight that AGD specifies is with the battery. Why would they advertise it without a battery if you need the battery to make it work?

Huge Battery- It's that big to feed the solenoid. Solenoid's that big b/c it's durable and dependable. It also needed to be that big to accomodate what AGD needed it to do. Don't like it? Don't get it.

ok I could have sworn the box said "without battery" on the wight... 2.7 pounds with the battery.. maybe that was barrel....

what's wrong with the ACE boards? if you have burned out more then one, and don't cut the eyes on so you don't... then something is wrong with them..

I know it's not like AGD to make a weak product, so any idea....
also I don't fuss about the battery in size, just weight, and if the xmag in total only weights 2.7 pounds then that answers my question.....

it is a toss up between a few guns right now..
      XMAG
      WAS-GZ
      03 Shocker
      Angel Speed ....

and in that order too =]
      thanks dayspring..

Apparently, there was a few that were etched/wired wrong. I know that Kayle fried 2 spare boards at IAO trying to fix my fried board.

OK, the ace, works just fine, atleast it does in my sfl, and the lvl 10 wont kick in, but you see, you cant take lx out, and run a non lx bolt and not chop, why? BOLT SPEED

BOLT speed was waht killed mags before, not their chopping, but the bolt flying so fast, it actually broke paintshells.

SETUP your LX correctly, and dont worry any more. Setup your ace correctly, and always detach the battery before fiddiling with the ace.

BTW O3 shocker is the same size as the x, yet a ful pound lighter, yet it is made by smartparts, and is stil pretty damn innefficient

Speeds, are nice, but have to have the battery fully charged all the time, and they still chop an aweful lot

It's 2.7 lbs without the BARREL. Your LX won't leak if you have it set up right.

Yeah you don't want a Shocker '03 unless you can run a backpack scuba tank with remote, lol. Guy at my local shop has one, with a 88ci tank and a 3k fill he can't get past 900 rounds. That's really not good in my opnion.

I just got an Angel Speed and I couldn't be more happier. I have a ULE E-mag, only problem I have with my e-mag is I can't shoot it fast enough. Because the trigger was made to be electro and manual it is really hard to walk. Out of the box I walked my Angel Speed 18bps over the chrono (I bet I can get more with practice ). No trigger adjustments (don't know how yet, lol) and I have never walked a trigger before. I can pull 12bps on my e-mag and that is pretty damn fast. the trigger is as short as I can make it and 1 magnet with an o-ring to space it. I will always keep my E-Mag because it is fast and never goes down... if it does go down I can always fix it myself.

The Speed does good on air as well. I use my 68/4500 flatline set to 400psi (Low pressure spring pack) filled to about 3k psi (scuba tank) and I went through 1000 rounds one game and still was not below my output. I was fine with that since thats about all the paint I can carry, lol. It is REALLY fast... god I was throwin some majot paint.. it was insane.

If you want a fast super reliable gun that is easy to work on.... get the X-Mag

If you want blazing speed, try an Angel Speed or an intimidator with a WAS. Don't get a Shocker '03 man... it is fast like an Angel and SUPER light.. but it sucks gas and it's made by Nazi's. I mean Smart Parts.

You didn't tune the trigger did you?
