about e-bladed cockers

well i shot a impact angel for about a year. i got used to the whole electronic thing. now i got my hands a 2k2 shochtech cocker and liked it with teh swing trigger, it was slower than wat i was used to but hey i got over it. now i went out and bought a e-blade to get over teh mechanical aspect and i havent shot it yet but the guy who i bought it from (also who i bought my angel from) said i wasnt going to like it and the eye was going to slow it down. Now i heard of some types of paintball detection things slowing things down like COPS for ir3's but is this true? I mean i wont mind to much as log as i dont chop and can pull off around 13 bps. any input would be greatly appreciated.

with the eye on it will feed as fast as your loader can feed it. Maybe the guy had the factory settings at slow or med and didn't get high fire rates. The thing with e-cockers is that they are only limited by what kind of parts you have on them. If you have an average/medicore ram, heavy bolt, wrong hammer, etc..than you won't get the high speeds. I currently have my cocker at 17 bps. Get some QEVs for your ram and that'll get you a couple more bps easy.

Isnt the eblade board capped at 19 bps with the eye on? How is that slow???

You should be able to get some serious BPS since u have a nice cocker. Shocktech has good internals etc... Overall it will be great. I can't wait till I get 390 bucks to put a eblade on my 2k2 Shocktech cocker.

A good combination of parts most definitely effects your rate of fire.
Palmer ram: Smoothest ram, longest life at HROF.
QEVs on Ram: Vents air quicker, allows ram to cycle quicker.
Mac Dev yig yang bolt: Lite delrin bolt w/O-rings for smooth, no-blow-back cycling.
Mac Dev Hammer (square lug)
Mac Dev High Flow Red Valve

This is my Eblade set up. Its not the only way to go, but its the best combo I found to help my rate of fire. Your eye, in no way should slow your shooting rate. I've easily achieved 13bps with an X-board Revvy.

I think it was APG(maybe Paintball magizine) that said it was capped at 19. not a reliable source but still does it really matter since i dont think its humanly possible to get over 22. probly 97% of people cant even get 19
