yes, i know that this is an automags forum, but u guys are smarter than other people i can ask... so here it goes

i want to know how an autococker works. i have only shot a cocker for like 10 seconds. i know absolutly nothing about it. if there is a good site u know or if u have the time to explain it that would be great.

im gonna get a gx4 in a few months and i just want to know how a cocker works.
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

    I like those ones

Although I've found that you can't really learn about a cocker by reading.. you need hands on experience.

Maybe thats cause i'm a 'kinetic learner' (...look what school has done to me...)

      I agree

You definitely need hands on experience with a Cocker to learn about them. Unfortunately, if you mess with one that you purchase, you're likely to mess up the timing. I did tons of research before I bought mine. None of it has done as much as talking with other people, seeing how theirs are set up, and tinkering with my own. Yes, I screwed everything up thinking I knew what I was doing, but I learned the most by getting it to work again.

That's what I thought, but it can get very frustrating. For some reason, I couln't get rid of blowback. After hours of tinkering, taking it to my local shop, and referring to forums, I called WGP. It turns out some of the parts were threaded too much from the factory...things I never messed with. You shouldn't have that problem though, and it should be a fun learning experience if you decide to fine tune the factory settings.

im terribly sorry, if i did know of a website with cockers, or anyrthing to do with cockers, i couldnt force myself to give you that info becuase - Mags > All - ADG motto "BECAUSE QUALITY ALWAYS SHOOTS STRAIGHT" sorry to say, but i dont see too many cockers shooting staight, and the ones i've had expierence with broke almost every time they were used. including my friends gen-x 4. dont get me wrong, i take care of my PB stuff extemely well, but in my opinion rebels are better than cockers.

You just have to know how a Cocker works. When you do, it's a very comfortable gun to own reliability wise. In my year of owning a Cocker, I have never had it put me out of a day of play. I have had a tincy few minor problems, but they were fixed with no problem in five minutes or less.

PS, all guns shoot just as straight. I have a Rebel as a backup, needless to say it's proved less reliable then my primary gun (Black Magic).

hmm tru i guess, if you know everything about your gun, its easy to fix problems, settings, and faults. also i think i meant good quality by refering to shooting straight; my first gun was a spyder, i put some upgrades on it, and its shoots super-straight, spydedrs arent bad, i just got one becuase i had no knowledge of guns at the time, and it was good for when i was a newbie.
