    Important HPA tank question!

    i just got a brand new pmi 68ci 4500 psi HPA tank and ya know that clear coat that goes around the tank well mine stops a few milimeters from where the regulator meets the actual bottle... is this ok? what should i do?
    Last week i thought i was indecisive, but now im not sure anymore...

    Is there a neck of the bottle before it meets the regulator?

      yeah there just isnt a clear coat the last few milimeters of the bottle neck before it meets the reg

        i think mine's like that.

        Just make sure to check it every once in a while incase it starts unraveling

          yeah, do you think it would be bad if i rapped a piece of electrical tape around it to keep it from getting worn down?

            Yes, then you couldnt see it in case it was unraveling. And... electrical tape wont do anything.

              i would still check it, its just that those few milimeters are the only part not covered by the tank cover so i would just put a piece of electrical tape to keep general wear and tear from happening to that part of the tank, i say electrical because its black :P

                I'd suggest calling PMI and reporting it. If its a manufacturing defect then they should replace it and if its normal you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

                  Its fine, my pmi is the same way. Over a year and its just the same as i got it. Just use a tank cover.
                  Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix
