i just got a brand new pmi 68ci 4500 psi HPA tank and ya know that clear coat that goes around the tank well mine stops a few milimeters from where the regulator meets the actual bottle... is this ok? what should i do?
Important HPA tank question!

i would still check it, its just that those few milimeters are the only part not covered by the tank cover so i would just put a piece of electrical tape to keep general wear and tear from happening to that part of the tank, i say electrical because its black :PLast week i thought i was indecisive, but now im not sure anymore...

I'd suggest calling PMI and reporting it. If its a manufacturing defect then they should replace it and if its normal you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Its fine, my pmi is the same way. Over a year and its just the same as i got it. Just use a tank cover.Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix
