Need advice: Centerflag Hyperflow or Nitro Duck X stream

Well, the time has come to replace my old PMI steel 68/3000 tank

Anyway, I'm kind of on a budget and trying to keep the price under or around $200. Whatever I get its most likely going to be a 45/45. Consistancy and reliability are my main concerns but weight matters too. I'll be using it on both my Angel and mag. What would you reccomend? Thanks for any help.

I own multiple Centerflag products. They are the highest flowing regulator i've ever seen. I reccomend the 201 series or Dynaflow/Thunder. Their customer service is also top notch. If you're going for a screw-in only, the 420 series regs are very good too.

Well, I'd like an adjustable but can't really afford one, and I will probably be needing to switch the tank from gun to gun now and then so I'll most likely be getting a screw in. The only reason I like the X stream is because it's an adjustable screw in. I heard they wobbled around though, something about the way they were designed?

the xstreams will only output up to 700 psi, so keep that in mind if you are going to use this air system on a mag. i have also heard that the threads on the xstream are one thread short, thus they dont screw in securely. i would go with the centerflag.

Centerflag is looking good right now...although I've heard some companies don't like Carleton bottles because of their quality ( or lack therof). Centerflag uses Carleton bottles,I've never heard of any consumer complaints but it just makes me wonder. Anyone have any info on this?

I have an xstream and it outputs well over 700. I believe it goes up to either 900 or 1000, can't remember which. As far as stability, I haven't had a problem with it not screwing in properly to my bottomline on my cocker.

Ugh..I posted nearly the same thing awhile ago, and am not happy with what I chose. I have a 45/48 X-Stream and it is nothing but problems. The wobbling only occurs when the tank has no air in it, even with 100psi it will stop wobbling, nothing wrong there. The tank is sort of long, mainly because the regulator is a bit big. But the main problem here being the tank and regulators performance. This is my SECOND tank from Nitroduck, being the first one did not work properly. Well this one doesn't either, it is just worse. The regulator isnt bad over the chrono, at a higher input pressure there is more spikes but that is expected on the RT. But the main problems here being that the nipple on both tanks leak constantly, and need to be refilled to shut the nipple. Also, the regulator on both of my tanks is not adjustable, well it is..between 820-830. Now maybe I am being a bit brutal...but this shows horrible quality control. Not only did I say what I bought the tank for, and not only did I pay for shipping to get this thing ASAP back (which turned out to take weeks) but my second tank still doesn't work correctly. As for my Centerflag, it works great. The adjustable system I had on the Adrenaline was amazing, and flawless. Maybe people have problems with them, but its is quite light and very consistant, good enough for me. Well thats bout it, I say Centerflag ownzors this one.

Oh..it shoots da 620:1 .No problemo.

Although I did have problems with my Nitro Duck SS4500, that tank was a bit old. After receiving my XStream, I haven't had any problems that I know of. The tank was empty and no wobbling was present. The tank size (with reg) was, if anything, only slightly longer than my Nitro Duck 68/4500 preset.

The only complaint I have with the tank so far is that as the tank pressure decreases, so does the output pressure. I'm unsure if this just means the reg needs to be broken in, or if this is a flaw in the design. Other than that, I've had no problems with it.

flatlines are carleton bottles also and have had no probs with it

also with a centerflag if they use carleton then you will get a 5 year hydro instead of a 3 year

not sure what bottle xstream uses
