    Paintballgateway.com ... easily the worse place I have ordered from ...

    Okay all gotta vent ... paintballgateway.com is hands down the most horrible experience I have had trying to order pball gear.

    I place an order on Monday the 25th for a dye 45ci Rhino Cover and a macro-line kit, and get priority shipping since I need it that Sunday the 31st. They call that evening to say that they dont have black and would I like a different color. I though well that was nice of them to call, and I ask again to please make sure I get it by Sunday. Tuesday I havent gotten an email yet about tracking or anything so I send them an email asking whats going on ... so I get this on the evening of the 26th;

    So I am thinking cool, should be here by the 29th at the latest. So the 30th comes and nothing so I send back to him;

    Joe,
    My order is not here. If it shipped on the 26th with priority it should have been here by now. I either want a refund on the difference in shipping or I will be sending the whole order back for a full refund once it finally arrives.

    Regarding your order

    Priority mail only goes out once to twice a week.Priority mail is USPS because of the holiday there will be a hold up on delivery.

    So he is saying that the holiday that comes after my items has supposidly be in transit for a week is causing the delay. Not to mention that they dont say they only ship orders once or twice a week ... whats the point of offering faster service if you dont ship on a timely basis to begin with???

    Well I respond to him;

    You told me in an email dated the 26th (attached) that it had been invoiced and shipped. Now I sent another package that same day to California and it was there Friday morning. You cannot tell me that it was delayed for the holiday, that is crap. I want a refund on the difference in shipping or I will be sending the whole shipment back for a full refund. Which amount of money do you care to lose, a few dollar or forty dollars?

    Your already losing a customer, I would think as a businessman you would want to keep your losses to a minimum.

    Aaron

    To this email I have not received a response yet. And today I get an email from them with the tracking number, which when looked up returns this;

    Current Status

    You entered 0302 1790 0000 #### ####

    Your item was accepted at 12:56 pm on September 03, 2003 in SANTA ANA, CA 92735. Status is updated every evening. Please check again later.

    Hmm wow that package that was invoiced and shipped on the 26th, has now magically not been shipped till the 3rd.

    If there is one thing I dont take well its people trying to lie to cover their own mistakes ....

    Well I can say that packaged is getting marked return to sender and the charge is getting contested with my CC company.

    Sorry ... had to vent.

    On a side note, does anyone know anyplace else I can get a dye rhino cover in 45ci size?

        I think what he was saying is HE doesn't go to the Post office and ship them every day. HE only goes twice a week. So its their fault it didn't get shipped and they didn't bother to tell you that paying for Priority Mail would actually be a delay depending on what day of the week you ordered it. But looking at the time line still doesn't explain why it didn't get in the mail earlier. He skipped a day it looks to me. Bad service indeed.

              I tried to order some system x grips from there. About a week later without any word I called them and said they canceled my order for me (gee thanks) because the grips were out of stock and that system x no longer made them.

              They are still listed on their site though

                Paintballgateway is alright. They did mess up an order of mine not too long ago. I ordered a cocker threaded barrel and I got an angel threaded one. But they were very good at responding to my emails, over the phone, and the barrel came in just in time before the weekend game. They also gave me a little something extra second time around to compensate for the trouble.

                Will I order anything from them again...probably. But not right now...I think I've already spent too much on paintball equipment...hehe!

                      They screwed me too, I was waiting for three weeks for what should've been an instock item from them. It would've been cheaper for me to drive down to LA to pick it up locally from the Check-It store in West Covina, Ca.

                          Now I really have to wonder how good a business person this guy is ...

                          When I emailed them asking for a refund for the shipping difference, or I will return the whole lot for a full refund I get this in respons;

                          Well unfortunately we will be charging a 25% restocking fee on the return item I do not control the shipping department and I go by what was said.It also states on our web site that Priority Mail is only for people with P.O.Boxes and Military People.Priority mail is only shipped once to twice a week.That is why Fed Ex is recommended for normal delivery.

                          So a search of their site brings the following;

                          Shopify provides a reliable Ecommerce platform so you focus on selling online! Integrated hosting, shopping cart and Ecommerce payment solution all in one!

                          USPS Shipping: We now only ship priority mail to APO, FPO, and PO Boxes! All other addresses must ship with other carriers other than Priority Mail. We ship Priority mail only 2 times per week. We send all orders out standard 2-3 Day Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. We recommend UPS or Fed Ex for larger bulkier items or items that need to be tracked.

                          So now I wonder if they only ship to APO, FPO, and PO's only with Priority why did they process my order? Why did they not contact me to inform me that they wouldnt ship that way. Instead they just went ahead and shipped against their own rules.

                          Either way you would think a business man in the business of keeping in business would prefer to refund a few dollars instead of lossing a whole sale and several more dollars. Not what I would call a good business practice.

                            FYI ... my current response to his last email;

                            Actually re-reading your website I find the following;

So according to your own site you shouldnt have shipped this way to being with. So I wonder why was the ordered processed to being with, and why did you fall to let me know that delivery by the time I had asked would be impossible since you hadnt even shipped it yet? When I emailed you saying I needed it by Sunday or I would return it, why did you continue with the sale knowing full well you hadnt shipped yet. Instead you lie to me about the shipping date and proced to ship the order after the date I said I would cancel if I hadnt received it.

                            I feel that I shouldnt be charged the 25% and I will be in contact with my credit card company to contest the full charge and will be providing all emails as record to the fact that the order should have been cancelled on your end before it was shipped.

                            Thank You,
