Stainless inserts
Just got mine in on Friday 09-12-03. They look nice. If you have a SS back Like I do then you do not get the nice colored "freak" window to show up as much. They fit fine. I still put a thin coating of "Shocker lube on them before I put it in the barrel. So far no problems with shooting. Just as accurate as the alluminum ones.
They are deffinatly stronger than the Alluminum. The feel is different. Just slightly heavier, but so little I can not even tell.
When I bought them all I needed was the inserts. My buddy NeroWolfe bought the back and front, since he already had a freak set up. The price was $199.50, which we purchased from our local paintball store "The Scuba Tank". Check their site out. http://thescubatank.com
If there is anything I missed just ask me and I will look into it.

The kits are a tadnicer than the Alum ones. They are a weee bit stronger ( read I couldnt mash one with my fingers )
I sill dont like the finish on them. SP needs to put a tad bit more effort on this IMHO.
I would still advise my customers to pick upa CP kits vs freak for most guns.
-RobertServing AGD customers since 93, wishing I could beat some common since into some of them about 5 hrs later.

I'll stick with my alum ones till something happends to them. I'm suprised it took this long for SP to come out with them. You know in a year they will probibly come out with titanium ones.

Please explain about the CP kits... I'm going to pickup a Freak kit this week (shocker thread). Do you consider the CP kit a better value? Performer? If CP doe not have a shocker thread version then never mindOriginally posted by RobAGD

The finish on the insert is not as smooth on the freaks as the finish on the CP kits. Unless your shooting some really weird paint all you really need to cover your bases is the 85 89 93 in the cp kit. Also it is not as easy to bend a CP back as it is a Freak insert.
I also dont like the fact the insert ride on orings. You can get orings rolling over and miss aligning the insert in the back. Over all it was a good idea but I think that the 1 peice backs are a better way to go.
