My milled warp body hugging ULE rail...

Sent my ULE rail, ULE warp body, and C&C warp breech off to A+ for some milling and ano work. Unfortunately, the pictures below don't do justice to how it looks in person, A+'s machinist did a great job making the rail fit the contures of the warp body, it fits like a glove. No sharp edges at all, just a nice smooth curve that flows around the warp body.

Milling on the ULE rail = $50
Ano on the ULE rail = $50
Ano on the warp breech = $25
Shipping via priority mail = $5
    Grand total = $130

The warp body received a few minor scratches on the bottom side (normally not visible) during the milling process as their machinist was custom fitting the body to the rail, so A+ reannoed it free of charge.

I am very pleased with how it turned out!

I'm joking m8, had I known you were in a position to take custom orders, I would have considered sending the work your way, I just thought you were up to your eyeballs with your rail project.

Besides, A+ annos all the AGD C&C's, so I knew they would do a precise match on the warp breech anno as well as reannoing the milled rail.

Thanks for the info on the prices and quality of work. I wanna do the same with the rail but get the whole marker re-annoed. Looks like they did a great job.

i dont think he paid to much for the rail at all. he wanted to get it annoed so thats why it cost so much more.

              rogues rail is 30.
              his was 50.
i'd go with his because its a lot smoother, and cleaner.
for that 20 bucks i would of paid to get it to look smooth and nice like that.

The milling is the same, just the extras that cost more that are different.

Darn, I forgot the shipping to...

                so it should have been:

                $180 rail vs. $30 rail

That is almost exactly my message---Hardly a comparison in the first set of pics, but much closer in the newer ones.

But lets see how they are apples vs. apples:

                  1) Both are notched
                  2) Both are smooth
                  3) Both are annod

Where they arent apples vs. apples:

                  1)Rail A= $30, Rail B= $180
2)One is spanking new, one isnt

I provide these comparison so that those who see this thread can decide for themselves which is a better value.

                    Bob,

Could you provide a web site or contact for A+? They did such a nice job, I'm thinking about buying a new rail (I Dremel'd my current rail and it looks like an amateur did it) and sending it to them. Also, they ano'd the "warp breech", what portion of the ULE body is that?

                    Thanks

                        BTW Shartley-

you dont need things to be exact to compare apples to apples.....

it could always be granny smith apples vs. washington apples(which are obviously not exactly the same).
LOL That is very true. But then again you can have apple cobbler or apple pie! Mmmmmm Both are great, but not quite the same. Give me a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream with either of them though, and I am one happy camper.

Added: Apple season has arrived! I took the family out for our first apple picking day last Saturday.
