    Trouble Trading my Mag

I've been having a lot of trouble trading my mag, and I don't really know why. It's a really sweet gun, ULE body, Xvalve, Ygrip, built on an RTP rail and foregrip, and is like a month and a half old. I see tricked LCD's and other uber nice guns being traded for guns that, IMO, aren't as nice as mine, and I really have no idea as to why. It's not like I'm trying to get Xmags and stuff for it, just LCD's and the like...
I realise that mags have a bad rep, but a lot of people who know about paintball realize that this one is uber nice...

this isn't a f/s thread, I'm just wondering if anyone has an explanation

The resale market on mags isnt the greatest, and most people seem to be interested in Electros. The Y grip can be a bit polarizing too. It IS a nice mag, however, which is why I have been pestering you to buy it :).

Sorry man, but the ultimate reality is most of the PB world will not take a mechanical Mag over an LCD Angel. I'd try just try on the FS/T forums here, and maybe throw in a little cash with it.

right now, the market pretty much sucks on any used gun.

of course, this makes mechanical mags have an especially low resale value on the net- - where uber low prices are considered the 'norm'. You can try the BST forums on AO, but I almost wouldnt reccomend it. You will not get anywhere NEAR what put into the gun. In my opinion, you would do good to get about half of what you put in to it.

The forums have had too many 'good deals' for whatever reason that someone wanted to give away their stuff, and many of the potential buyers have become exceptionally spoiled. When people think you are a total jerk for wanting more than 100 bux for an x-valve, it's really not even worth your time to sell it, unless you are so desprate for money that you're willing to take a hit of up to 70% loss on almost anything you put up.

Some people claim to have always 'come out good' on all their internet deals, but from what ive seen (with others i know, not just myself) unless you grab a total STEAL you will wind up loosing tons of value and cash on most deals you look into.

I've about gotten to the point to where im just fed up with attempting any online sales, and will just let an item sit on the used wall of the shop for however long it takes- - Most guns ive seen sold this way go for about double what they would online. If the item dosent sell by the time i've made enough extra cash to get/ do what i want. . i'll just keep it for the heck of it. Lol. . Im starting to wind up with a pretty impressive gun collection like that. .

Try Ebay. The only thing that I've sold that I got back anywhere close to what I paid was an SFL Emag. Everything else that I sold, whether it be here or on Pbnation, ppl low ball. Go on Ebay, take the hit on the listing fee and sell it for a more reasonable price. At least, reasonable to you.

Yeah, you can always list a reserve price if you don't want it going too cheap. The only thing you have to lose is the listing fee
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

Yes, Ebay is a good spot...sometimes things like warp feeds will go over there new price, because to some people I have noticed it seems to be a matter of pride. They will get into these bid "wars" and will bid back and forth until somebody wins...

                      resale

The resale is horrible considering how good a fully ULE'd Mag is compared to any other mechanical marker. I have no problem keeping mine until I get a respectable offer for it. I want to try something new but I refuse to get a bad resale price for my Mag. If it got down to the pull weight/distance of an E-marker, then the resale would rocket but there's still too much distance for E-fans to want to convert to it.
