How are the magnetic detents working out??

Mods, if this is spam please delete or let me know and I will remove it.

I was just curious to hear some feedback from people here on AO who got magnetic detents and how they are working out. Please post your direct feedback here or send me an email at [email protected] regarding your experiences with them on the field.

    Thanks,

    Kila

For the most part, it's worked pretty well. I had initial problems with the detent getting in the way of the Level 10 bolt but I added an extra O ring and that solved the problem. You also gave me the new ones with the softer magnet but I was having some problems with double feeding, like once in every 200 shots. But once I switched magnets, that seemed to solve the problem. I've only played one day with it so we'll see how it performs as time passes.

Used mine at shatnerball on a ule rtpro, had to add a extra oring to make the lx happy. Otherwise 3k paintballs no double feeds, or breach breaks, only sign of wear would be from the first shot without the extra oring, but you really have to look.

Just gotta pay some bills and I should be ordering another one for the emag next month.

I have probably shot 7 cases since I got mine. I got doublefeeds on one occasion, but that was because the detent screwed out a little bit. Since snugging it up, I have had no problems and it has proven to fix all of the problems I was having with the AGD detents. By the way, how much is the piston supposed to wear? I may need to order another of those because mine isn't exactly round anymore. But this was my fault, for I had it in too far when I first got it.

Works great. Doubleballed two or three times out of 2 cases while tuning in the ULT and chuffing a bit. Added shims to the ULT and snugged both the detents in and haven't misfired yet.

                JT2002:
I am working on a version for the Angel Speed detents, but would require to send me your detent for the install and would use the stock speed setup but replace the spring with magnets. I am working on a teamates speed detent now. I will keep you updated on how it works out.

                Afrankart:
The pistons will take on some wear, I have been using mine for along time(over 120,000 cycles), and they are still working fine. They may not look like they did when they were new, however still perform as good as day one. If they are giving you problems I would consider getting a replacement piston, but until than, I wouldn't worry about. If you do need one, I can get you a new piston.

                Gibby:
I am no longer going to use the thinner/lighter return cap magnets, they were just a prototype size that I wanted to get out in the field for testing. I I wasn't happy with my results, and appreciate you testing them out for me. I will no longer be including them with any other detents, and will stick with the orginal cap magnet.
