Did you see some guy was killed on the tressel over the lake last evening? He jumped into the lake to avoid the train coming while he was out over the lake. Sad thing is the train saw him and was able to stop before it got on the tressel.

Sad way to up a thread.

Wow, i haven't heard anything about it. Did he land on something that was in the water? Cuz while it is off the water quite a ways, I do know of people that have jumped from it before and been fine (although I won't jump).

Not that I know of. They recovered his body 20 minutes later. A construction crew saw him jump and called rescue right away. But no cause of death been announced yet. There was a picture in the greenville news about it showing the train stopped just a few yards short of going onto the tressel. He coulda made it. He supposedly used it as a short cut to get to work at Western Sizzlin.

I am going to be bringing my laptop with wireless NIC built in. I know EZ was talking about hooking his laptop up to the house and setting up his wireless card so I could connect, so I don't see why you couldn't too.

I remember seeing a scruffy ol' drunk mod last year, but not THE Scruffy-mod drunk. I do believe that the scruffy-drunk-mods will be in high numbers this year! I can count at least 4 or 5 for sure.

I do wonder though, if the brits have learned to hold their liquor?

Rob, problem is there is nothing to connect the router to. They do not have high speed internet at the field. I have an extra 802.11a router sitting here that I might bring just in case.
