Flatline tanks any good? Flatline or Conquest:::

im lookin at 2 tanks, teh 68 45 flatlines, and 68 45 conquests. straight up, what would you do if you could get a filled twice perfect condition flatline for 325, or a new 03 conquest for 365? loookin for some opinions. even if you vote in poll, please post

Conquest - 0-650 PSI
Flatestline - Higher than 650 PSI

If pressure isn't a problem, get the conquest. I've used both, and I found the Conquest was generally more consistant (slightly) especially in high ROF.

the reliability on my brother's conquest sucked. we even sent it in and had them fix it, still wasn't impressed. my fav tank for adjustable was centerflags. You should check out the post on flatline reg seats before getting one of those.

Flatline 68/4500's are in stock. Last I heard there was still 16 of them available.

I believe Mel of Paintballistix was able to make the flatline 4500 more consistent at lower pressures.

conquest boasts that you can run theirs without an inline reg for LP guns (the 03's that is). So think of the weight you'd save having it run to a gas thru vs inline reg.
I've read a few reviews of people doing this with a great deal of success (no I didn't read in on PBnation).
so if you're getting it for anything other than a mag, I'd vote conquest
I've tried using my flatline for LP and never had much success, I would never think of using it without an inline.

Actually, Mel modified a part in the flatline reg to accept LP flow. I personally have never used the conquest so I could not give a non-biased answer

I tried the "use a classic mag spring pack" trick. So are you saying he did something different than a drop in mod?

That was it. He said it ran pretty consistent. I don't know if he did anything else to it (change a piston???)

One of my teammates runs a conquest on his 2k2 Timmy. He's lowered the output pressure to 400, I believe, and has opened his Torpedo almost right up. Very consistent on the chrono, no shootdown and the system is light and comes with a rail mount no drop.

I was quite impressed with it.

That is, until the output pressure started creeping. To the point where it would vent the excess.

So if you're considering a conquest - make sure you have a parts kit or two -0 they're a little touchy on dirt. Our field is a little dusty, but nothing that I thought would cause any problems

You friends tank sounds like the issue with a few of the first 03 conquests released. they have since rectified this, but in the ones that made it out a few replaced o-rings would fix the issue. I suggest emailing (since it's an international call), I've only heard good things about their customer support.

heh, it seems almost 50 50 here heh. well whAT would u do if you liek i said could get a flatline for 325 shipped only filled twice looks brand new still, or a new 03 conquest for 365 delivered to your door (yes the seller of the tnak, who owns the onlien store would deliver it to my house and exchange money and tank there)
