    back in the game

hello people just wanted to introduce myself.
i am not new to paintball i was playing ever since i was fifteen years old. i had to stop because of life. you know the usual house, car, wife, kid. so now that im 26 now life has seem to calm down. (preety much the kid has gotten older)
and i want to get back into paintball so show me some love!!!

i notice a lot has change since i played last about 7 years ago so many new products out there. but i know that agd makes good product. so im looking to get their latest gun.
i know that there is a waiting list and so forth but, i wanted to know do you have to pay for the product in full to be on the list?

and i wanted to know how much a black x mag would cost me im not into all the shiny stuff and c@c?. i like my guns black and no designs i guess im just a old fart. i like my guns or markers dark.

thanks a lot guys and gals and see on you on the field.

    #1- Welcome to AO.

#2- Xmags can go from $1000 to $1550- dependent on color, and other options.

#3- your sig image is outside of our guidelines. (AKA- too big.)

    Otherwise- welcome to the addiction.

Welcome back to paintball and AO!

Well, if you're willing to wait for an Xmag go for it. However, sounds like you're ready to play now.

If you want the latest and greatest in the AO world that's not the X-Mag, build yourself a nice ULE'd Emag. It's basically the same thing without the CNC and the wait period. I just recently put one together and I'm loving it.

I'm sure you can find someone who can hook you up with a nice ULE Emag but the most popular one here on AO is Tunaman's Tunamax:

      The Tunamax

Good luck and enjoy your stay. AO is like a roach motel...they check in, but they don't check out...LOL!

gibby i don't mind waiting for it im in no hurry i have a bushmaster 2000 (i think i had it since 1999 or 2000) i played with it once. my first attempt to play paintball again. (before my kid was born) so i just run with that for now.

why so much of a price difference? i just wanted a black xmag with no frills i asked some people they told me it will cost $1400.00 and i see some post with c&c milling and colors and it was $1350.00 does black costs more.

Dayspring i take my sig off so i could make adjustments what are the sig size limits? link please.

              Welcome to AO!

an Xmag, huh! Great choice though you're in for a wait. You should also check out the AO marker classifieds or eBay. An xmag turns up every so often for sale or trade..

i don't mind the wait. even though im into paintball again i can only play so much. so waiting is no big deal but, i would like to know if i was to order one do i have to pay in full for it. did this gun just come out? how long it has been in production?

gibby mention to me about a ULE'd Emag does it has the same features and performance as the x mag? im trying to do a search on the product but to no avail. maybe you have a link or a faq for me to read.

i only wanted the x mag because of the features, not because of the looks. so geting a ule e mag will acheive the same results then i would by that instead. just need conformation about its performance.

if a ule emag acheives the same results like the x mag, why is everybody breaking there neck to have one. if i could get a ule emag cheaper, than go for that.

Yes a ULE E-mag will perform the exact same as the X-mag. The only difference is that the X-mag has an anti chop eye, while the E-mag does not. Although since they both come with level ten, you don't really need it. And the ULE E-mag is cheaper. But if you still want the X-mag, you don't have to pay until its ready.
Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix

Oh yeah! I totally forgot to mention the lack of an ACE on the ULE Emag. But about a month or so ago when I was thinking about ordering an Xmag, I also asked other Xmag owners about the need for ACE. Most have said that they don't even use it because the Level 10 does a great job by itself. Also, with my experience of my LX on my RT mag, I haven't come across a chop problem since...well, before I installed it.

After playing with my friend's ULE mag, I just decided to convert my Emag into a ULE one. But like you said, if you're patient enough to wait, would like to have extra little things like the ACE, own a marker that's very hard to get a hold of, then the Xmag is just for you! However, one other thing, a ULE Emag is also a smidge lighter than an Xmag. But one of the features the ULE'd Emag doesn't have is the ability to swap feed styles(vertical or warpfeed). However, one can argue that changing the body from a ULE vert body to ULE warp body is as easy as changing the breach style on the Xmag.

Good luck with your decision. Either or, you'll be happy with it.

thanks for the info. i wonder how many x mag owners use the ace. anyway the gun i have now does not have a ace so i know the pain of breaking balls. if the level 10 bolt works that good why even have ace to begin with. maybe to have a redundent system?
