I got a idea for Bumping threads to the top. Instead of haveing people just posting TTT or up or bump, why not just have a BUMP button on the thread. This button would only be able to be used in 24 hour intervals. Plus, it would make the thread less clutterd and stop excessive posting whoreing with Bumps. Of course after each post it would still bump the thread up.

Have any thoughts?

you can also delete your old TTT post and put in a new one. this will continue to bump with only one non informative post

Yeh, I like (and use) that method. I think automation would make a big headache...

Perhaps a bump button like the reply button, that only the owner can use. It would basically just skip the dialogue box part...

Or people could just use the (Crap.. No search button on this new layout) Search option and it wouldn't really matter...

Well only the thread starter could do it. Plus it wuld only be available in the gtrading fourms perhaps.

To keep mine non-cluttered, I normally go into edit my last bump, and cut the words out, then delete it...

Then I do a new reply and paste the words and hit POST...

There is nothing more annoying than looking at a 4 page post trying to sell a single item that is 90% bumps. ROFLMAO... Talk about poor marketing skills!

well, i think people would just use the bump button, then do another "up" post whenever.

My opinion has always been that there should be a *per-day* limit per member for post counts. Check your profile, it will show you how many(on average) posts per day you have.

We should be able to limit post count average the same as how quickly someone can make multiple posts(30 seconds between posts) is limited.

What would this do?

It would do a few VERY important things...

• 1) It would keep POST-WHORES from flooding the forums with their *opinion* to increase their post count(or to be a nuisance)
  
  OR
  
  2) Those annoying members would need to remove old posts to be able to re-post elsewhere....and keep the site clean and "POST-WHORE" free.

End Result....

Those with high post counts will TRULY be Senior Members.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am civil. I dont think you can say the same about yourself.
