Yet another endless question on Smarts Parts - in regards to Mag design and a tech ?

Ok, for those of you sick of hearing about this, I'm sorry. For those of you who want to attack SP over everything, this is not intended as such. This is both a technical question and a question in patent law.

Ok, I was thinking about the '03 Shocker, in regards to this is an awesome gun for the price... I mean, I understand certain people would think I was a traitor. So, I was thinking of the strengths, gods this thing nearly looks like a mag... its small, sealing bolt theory (well useless) sounds good to an open bolt gun..

What exactly is the spool valve? Im sorry that I do not know, but I understand this is an open bolt marker - I am assuming it is blow forward and likely reset by a spring (though I will mention a distinct lack of knowledge).

Now I know the original mag blow forward design was patented (though what exactly I don't know - I confess to being to lazy to understand patent particulars) - how close is this new shocker to that design - and is it not as close to infringing on this patent as the electric mags are to infringing on SPs? ?

Just a wild thought I wanted to get down, and get input on well it was still in my mind.

the shocker design is closer to the matrix if anything I think??? someone knows more about it then I do though...

The spool valve design in the 03 Shocker is essentially what is in my Matrix. Just think of it as a bolt/ram/hammer/valve combo all in one big assembly that takes up only one body tube (which is why the Shocker only has one tube). It really doesn't perform any different from any other open bolt marker, it just happens to have all the parts relocated in a different position, if it'll work i'll post an animation of a spool valve.

So.. the bolt and valve all in one body tube - blow forward with automatic reset (I am still assuming a spring). If SP can reach there patent to all electronic markers.... why can't AGD stretch there patent to cover that thing? Someone tell me if I'm just way too far out there on a stretch, I don't beleive I am at this point.

And thanks for the picture... I still love that theory. I still like the '03 Shocker (but lets not make this a debate about that)

You are assuming too much this picture i found might help...

There are like 3 moving parts or so...

Actually, the spool valve design isn't blow forward at all. To go forward, it uses air, and to recock it uses air as well, no springs involved in the entire marker. Given there's an insanely Tiny one in the solenoid, that doesn't count
