Yes its another 03 Shocker Question Thread ...

Hey All ... before I get flammed for asking questions about the Shocker here, let it be known that I am doing this because I have more respect for the crowd here then on the SP forum at PBN ... and would hope that the flamming will be kept to a minimum ...

With that being said here are my questions ...

1 -- Does anyone know if there is a vertical adapter for it? I would rather not have to buy a max-flow tank, and use my torpedo reg with I know is reliable at ~180-220psi range.
2 -- Is the vert feed removable? The one they have is rather odd looking, and I would hope that other options would be coming out soon.

Again I ask to keep down the "dont buy it, its junk." replys ... Im 28 and and fully capable of accepting the outcome of my own choices.

    Thanks All,

Dont know about the vert adapter, but since SP is soon releasing the new vert maxxy I would think that it has one, or it will be an option.
Ive seen a few of them with aftermarket feednecks, so yes, the low rise is removeable.
In closing, dont buy it, its junk

Cool ... Im stuck between selling my timmy and getting one. Played with an 03 at the last tourney I went to, and man I gotta say I liked it (that I am your typical gun whore) ...

The only thing holding me back is the ugly stock vert grip, and the fact that I dont want a max-flow tank.

If you dont mind the hassle Im sure you can run with the maxflo for a while, and when they come out with VA's or vert regs for it, you can sell the maxxy...a hassle yes but it may be worth it

If you like how that shoots and "looks" and feels, you might want to look into the Powerlyte ISIS that is coming out at the Cup in October.

Powerlyte has much better quality than SP. Don't believe me? Just look at the Scepter vs. Freak

I'm sure as hell getting one when the ISIS comes out. I wanna see the fades!

I heard from somewhere that because of Smart Parts ignorant self-indulgant unethical ways of being gay that without the maxflow the gun doesn't function right.

It shouldn't matter... but who knows because it is a Smart Parts gun we are dealing with.

I dont think they will have an ASA adapter (because that does force a person to use a Maxflow) for a long time until they make the Vertical maxflows.

For now though the only deal you get is with a maxflow so unless you plan on waiting I would just get the package with the old maxflow, freak, and gun.

Eh dont get a shocker, keep the timmy imo. I traded a guy my Xmag for an 03 shocker for the day on friday. It was a nice gun, lighter than my x, but it was a little hard to shoot super fast and walk. Your better off keeping the timmy and putting the debounce real low, lol. Out of curiousty how air effiecent is your timmy?

Yeah I currently have my debounce set to 2 ... my board is still a 1.3 board though, so I can switch to 1 with no tricks heheheh

As for air usage, I play front and only shoot about 3 pods a game and a hopper ... I have a 68/4500 and I know I can play at least 2.5 - 3 games like that. I usually fill every other game no matter what, a pattern I got into after forgetting to fill at one time and paying for it horrible in a finals round LOL.

a shocker 03 hard to walk or shoot super fast ?

That must be a "one off" item you had because I shot 4 different shockers this weekend and they all shoot at insane rates of fire (right out of the box)

and it 's not that I 'm a supersonic finger hero , but is the first marker a can shoot that fast right of the box ( all the other guns go the same ROF but not without training and setup.
take it for wath it 's worth. just my opinion.

I asked kinda the same question about the vert adapter. Someone posted a pic of a shocker with a different reg on the foregrip and a normal drop/asa. So yea, you can.

It was Jack & Coke who posted the pic, it was taken from a PBnation post.

Yep thats a Bob Long Torpedo

edit: but your going to need to by a vert adapater probably. 10 bucks says it uses an Impulse ASA adapter.
