    Evolution II Defective?

    Hey,

I have a egg 2 and its always screwing up...the lid like broke off the spring thing doesnt work, but thats the least of my worries....when i press the button i have to hold it about 5 times to get it to work...when it finally works it shoots about 6 balls down then when i shoot those 6 off it basically turns off and i have to try pressing it over and over till it works...this is happening to my friend also so i was wondering if anyone else had this problem...anyways i was also wondering if the new Y-Board would fix this Thanks Guys

I would call BE or post in the BEOG ( www.BEOG.org) VL forum. A BE Tech posts there and relays problems to BE tech support

I think my teammate's Egg2 had the same problem. We didn't learn about it until a TOURNAMENT! I was playing with it and it kept turning off. We lost two of our games because it wasn't feeding. I ended up borrowing a 12v Revi from a ref.

the hell kind of egg are YOU using?!

they dont have buttons, only a mere switch.

if something is fishy with the way it runs, its probably got a jacked-up Y board. if it doesn't have a y board, check your batteries or the motor

as for the lid... yes its kinda brittle... sucks

The Pre-Yboard Evo2s used a button instead of a switch.

Louie, I think that signature goes across the lines of tastefull. Please remove it. Or I will. cphilip

Sounds like battery contacts, they are tricky on some eggs.Make sure you have the spacer and the Batts are in tight and all the way down before you close the door.If it's under warranty you can get the "current" production board(actually no such thing as a Yboard)it's the one with the switch.

I had the same problem with my pre y-board egg, but the y-board fixed it perfectly.

DON'T BUY A "Y" board. It is not an upgraded board.Wait till the X-Board for the Evo is available some time around xmas.

                      I agree with RF

The "YBoard" is not really an upgrade. It is a more efficient software and it has a toggle switch which means it will have a little better battery life, but thats all. The X-Board should be comming out and it will top 20bps in ROF...i've heard some backend stuff out of BE...its gunna be, they hope, FASTER, than the halo

ya umm if it fixes the bugs the original evo 2 has then i need it, but if its expensive or hard to install i will probably just get a 12v revy with x-board so...anyone know how much it is? (the y board)

I believe they retail around $30. If your Eggo II is still under warranty (90 day, i think) it would be a free upgrade
