ICD purchased by National (NPS)

for some reason... rumors in the paintball industry are usually 90% accurate... rumors dont usually get started out of no where within paintball... i dont get it myself, however... gossip and rumors usually point you in the right direction

I hope not but that would make a lot of sense.

ICD marketted the bushmaster and Bob Long sold the defiant, but both were made by ICD.

The Timmy is a clone of the design on Bob Long's milled millenium body. The newest timmies are leaps and bounds better but still clones.

This would also clear up some issues with patents, etc.

I hope ICD is still a private manufacturor and not owned by NPS but I can see why they would buy it.

How many BKO style timmies could they sell ?

Perhaps this rumor is just a rumor, but imagine for just a moment the business juggernaut SP/NPS may become: SP uses its patent to sue companies into submission/bankruptcy, then Gino walks up and throws his massive amount of cash to aquire the company and then sell all their guns under his name... pretty soon NPS will be like the omnipresent Weyland-Yutani corporation from the Alien series, or the Umbrella corporation for you RE fans...

NPS does NOT own ICD. ICD is still and I believe always will be, it's own company.

ICD

ICD is an awesome company for paintball for one huge reason.

They sell decent electros that are great starter tournament guns. They are faster and more reliable than the many sear tripping clones out there.

I shoot an angel now, but I started with a spyder, got a mag, got a bushy, went cocker crazy for a while, and now shoot angels.

Oh well... gotta own one of each eventually right?
