No oil in e-mag

Ok... the other day I got hold of an e-mag with level 10 that was leaking - I resized the level ten and stopped some of the barrel leak, I replaced the bolt spring and stopped the rest of the barrel leak, but than I could hear a valve leak. I put some oil in the inlet and put air to it - leaks stopped.

Later I am told that the E-mag manual says no oil - which I'm not sure on. Is this true, and why? Maybe this is a tech question... But I was under the impression that all mags liked oil.

I'm pretty sure an e-mag valve is the same as an rtpro valve. There's no electronics inside it. The oil shouldn't hurt anything

They love oil. No oil in the electronics part though! Oil dem Valves every time you use em. Feed it through the air lines. 6 drops or so. Then blow the excess out by dry firing it about 20 or even 30 or 40 times before you put your barrel back on. Do it at the end of every day and if its sat around a lot between playing like a month or so oil it that day before play too.

THanks guys, this was kinda my first impression when I heard - the manual says no oil - i was kinda like... Umm... not the mag manual... But, not having one, I was unable to check on this. Now TK.. if I am to be able to repair broken mags at my field I am fairly certain I will need an E-mag for testing purposes.... note I showed restraint and didn't ask for an X-mag
