I have noticed that when I bought the Retro valve with the LX I have had some velocity probelms, ones I have never had with my old classic valve. Everything works great here, but what can I do about the velocity problems? SMaller carrier, shims? Thanks.

After about half a case of paint thru my micromag had to switch to a smaller carrier. Other than that it has been a thing of beauty. (I had to go to the shortest spring to get it to work at 280 psi)

Before you do anything at all, make sure your carrier is tuned. Keep going up one carrier size at a a time until it leaks down the barrel, then go down one size. Oil the O-ring before each day's play.

If you have done that and you are having velocity problems then the problem is NOT the level 10. Look at the reg seat and reg piston seal, then the air source.

i had my mag set up sooooo sweet. it worked like a dream w/ the lvl 10 that i installed myself 4 the 1st time just using the quick setup instructions offered by agd. then i got my hyperframe and everything broke loose......1st it was leaking like a banshee (in case u dont no a banshee leaks a LOT) now ive calmed it down a lil bit but it still leaks but barely, but it still scares me i dont wanna play w/ it like this. ive posted 2 or 3 times w/ my problem and its still not solved......i have 1 final straw 2 grasp at....if any1 has a spare carrier oring it is worth its weight in gold 2 me and id appreciate if u can send me 1.
but im not really complaining about the lvl 10 i think its the most amazing innovation by agd in a looooooonnnng time.
but since i dont no how 2 get it working, i hadda use my lvl 7 aka blender bolt in a tourny and i lost the spacer when i was switching the bolts (yea what fun huh? switching out bolts and power tube innards at like 6 in the morning in maine.....like 50 degrees out) but id b the happiest person in the world if i can get it up and running

That's a Hyperframe issue, not a Level 10 issue. You can't blame AGD when a third party product causes the marker to malfunction.

Nor was I accusing you of anything, merely that the purpose of this thread is to gauge people's level 10 problems, not Hyperframe problems.

thats funny, he installed it. when i gassed it up at the field the trigger had just enough pressure you could feel it but it would depress w/o firing the gun. i dont know what setup im running as i havent even taken the valve apart yet.
you were a stillborn baby, your mother didn't want you, but you were still born.

                        Installed it on 3 markers.

First took all of 4 minutes.
2nd took about 45 minutes to get the shims\carrier correct.
3rd took about 3 minutes hehe.

/edit it works perfectly on all 3.

I just set up another level 10, this would be the 5th one I have done, took me less then 3 minutes. As long as you test the carrier on the bolt before you set it up you should get that right pretty quick, then just add some shims and adjust... for the most part I have ended up using 2-3 shims on all the setups I have done.
