Junkyard wars... so coulda been PB

So... I was watching JunkYard wars yesterday - when they announced the topic - to try to pop as many mylar ballons at range as possible... Im instantly thinking paintball style airgun to shoot ball bearings (and could have been self carried)

So anyways... they are building these HUGE potatoe cannons... and the expert tells us all how slow air cannons are - they are loading single potatoes at a time... Im looking for the hopper.

Am I nuts are was anyone else thinking the same thing?

What would have been smart would be to use the potatoes as sabots with a payload of ball bearings/nails/glass/prairies dogs/anything that can hurt mylar. Pretty much anything

Prairie dogs? LOL, you mean the animal or something else? But I agree, potatoes is like so something the French would go to war with.

have you ever seen a potato gun before, the canon types, there are no hoppers. you put the potato in, shove it down to the bottom and fire! no hopper what so ever

my spud gun shoots patatoes like 300 yards its awesome. then we made it so u can unscrew it and put some half inch thin pipeing on it and it fits paintballs perfect. it almost put a marble threw a stop sign that was cool

we had scrapheap challenge in England and a guy called John Bonich who works for Powerball and AGDeurope was the expert. They had to make a golf ball gatling gun. It was waaaay cool!! He took an e-mag and let them all have a go and apparently they played with that for most of the day!!!

Cool eh? I have some piccies somewhere.... hold on.
