    For the Viking Guys

Any one still use their javelin? What is a good paint match for it? I just emptied my checking account and sold my mag to buy a orange JMJ featherlite viking . Now, I am going to be stuck with that barrel for a while and I was wondering what matches up with it well. I think the new javelins are .687.

New are .687, old are .684. You can tell the new from the old by checking the porting: the old ones just have astraight row of porting, the new ones have a spiral pattern. I've shot marbs, big ball, and pmi premium through it without a problem.

I would think any severe paint would work nice, it tends to run a little small. I shoot an excal.. if vikings are ANYTHING like my excal.. you will be happy

What? I have only ever heard of AKA making .684 and .687 bores, outside of custom jobs.

                the bore is .687

but there is a step down swage to .685
an inch or so inside the barrel

Why would they do that? wouldn't it make a whole lot more sense to have the next step be larger, like .687 to .689?
I have never heard that before.

it acts as a pressure seal

its a ring constriction ~1inch inside the barrels breach

Initially they were .684 with some .688's mixed in. The new barrels are .688 with a .685 swage at the back. The new one's have multiple ports in a swirl instead of the 6 ports in a straight circle.

Interesting. Has anyone used evil with one of these. it is what I prefer to shoot, at least with the Ultralite I used to have.
