I love how compact automags are, but what about the over hang the valve makes? Are there any new inventions in the future that could shorten this length?
Smaller automag?

You could machine a back half that was basically a set screw to the back of the valve, and run an inline regulator and chop off the back of the rail I guess... thats about all I think
lol tony and I posed the same thing at the same time

i saw that too!
he machined a complete front half of the valve, and then attached the SS powertube setup to that, and it was completely flush with the back of his micromag, with matching milling
and then he ran an inline reg to adjust the pressure and whatnot
only an inch or so shorter though...Proud Member Of The AO Cesspool Since 08-24-2002

I have to agree...
Aside from being custom for custom's sake, what would be the point?
How many times in a game have you said "Man, if it wasn't for that 2 inches of valve behind the gripframe, we would have won!"Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

Back when this was actually being done, the person that I remember doing this just used an aluminum back with an inline reg, the point then was for some weight savings. Now there really would be no point.Taking a long needed leave of the sport to finish school and tour the country
