How much paint

Ok... I play recball on Sundays - I get to the field about 7 or 8 (I help out for discounted paint prices), we start play at about 11 and I usually play till about 6.

When I first started a half a case of paint in a week was normal... than it became a full case... now I've noticed that a case and a half is about right... for tournaments I bring two or three cases (small tournaments can expect 6-12 games). Coincidentally I play front and carry three tubes. Is this kind of paint usage normal? What do you all go through in a day.

Just curious really, if it makes any difference I have moved from a Mini-mag to a X-valved, intelliframed ULE mag. I'm wistfully considering an E-mag over winter but gotta wonder on the paint thing.

I'd say it's pretty light.

But at Shatner I shot 4 1/2 cases and everyone made fun of me.

I have been known to shoot as much as 2 cases in a day of recball...and I too play front with three pods. I am moving to the back though, so lets just watch that number rise.

It's perfectly normal.

I generally play on a half case a day on recball.
I have found that being selective with my shots gives better results than just spitting paint.
Some games you just need to use loads of paint to make it through though.Get down to a few on the other side vs just you , or something , and you hope like hell you have a few pods with you....

I use 3/4 a case when im skimping, but I'd rather have a full case in a full rec day

For recball my paint ussage varies between 500 and a case a day. This usuall depends on a few things. Days I bring my pump out for a few games, I'll shoot closer to 500. Other days there are enough of the 'regulars' there that I'll feel comfortable playing front without getting angled out or bunkered every five seconds. =) Those days I'll shoot around half a case. Finally on days where I'm not comfortable with the others playing back (days when we get alot of rentals and such) for me, I'll play back to keep them alive longer, and usually end up shooting closer to a case.

Tournaments I play front, carry out 2-3 pods, and shoot up to a case and a half. (6 games)

this last saturday I shot probably a little over 600 balls (finished off the remaining bag of evils and began to finish off the first bag of marbalizers), and that's alot for me. Usually I shoot a minimum of 300 in a full day of play and no more than 500. that's usually b/c I only buy a bag of paint at a time, but now that I've got a connection to low cost high quality paint (I'm getting RPS Marbalizers at a very nicely reduced cost . . . it's nice to have friends with connections ) I buy by the case. I have yet to use up half of the current case of marbalizers.

1/2 to 3/4 of a case when playing with my Mag. Most days I use a Sniper2, and get by with less than 1/2 case.
