Explain this CP rail to me

How does this CP rail drop work? I can see the dove tail on the bottom. I see the two frame mounting holes, but how does it fasten to your tank. (assume flatline) What are the 3 screws in the side for?

Two holes at the top flat face is to mount to your frame. The three hex screws at the sides expands the dovetail rail horizontally to press against the sides of your tank's dovetail adapter. This is different from standard set screws within drops that set into the top face of your tank's dovetail adapter. Hope that made sense.

Ok, it makes perfect sense, but you have to adjust all three screws to tighten your tank on? Thats kinda cool. Nothing is digging into your tank adapter then.

Right. I use one of these with a CP on/off on my lotus eblade and my viking, and they work great.

i love my CP rail mount w/ CP on/off asa. i had a check-it unimount but this thing is much better IMO. with my unimount i had to take the macro fitting off everytime i wanted to take it off my gun. then i had to reteflon and put it back on. became a real big pain. this put my tank in the same exact position but its much more convenient.
