    Polishing Phantom Internals?

i recently purchased a phantom and love it. but i have herd of polishing the internals for more proformance i guess, doesent seem really nessacarry but it sounds kinda fun, so i was wondering.....
What if any are the bennifits of doing this?

How to do this, what parts, what grit sandpaper or emory(sp)?
any other modifications and the like you CAN do to a phantom?

    thanks everyone

Phantom internals are nickle plated, hardened steel... it doesn't get much smoother than that.

If your Phantom is brand spanking new, you'll have a slightly stiff pump stroke, due to the brand new annodizing in there... put a half case through it, and it will break in, getting smoother and smoother.

Don't add any lube in there, at most, maybe a drop or two of standard paintball marker oil. By design, the Phantom does not need any lubricant on the bolt or hammer. It is always a good idea to put a couple drops through the ASA after each day of play.

As for upgrading your phantom... well... there really isn't much needed, a stock, vertical 12 gram changer, stock class breach, 45 grip... and then you get into the custom world... where things get very pretty, and very expensive...

Welcome to the Phantom owners club. Great pump guns. I've had one for about 14 yrs. I love it. It gets you some funky looks when you get it ready at games sometimes. Especially from the Angel guys, they talk smack about how they are gonna wipe you all over with their sooper dooper Angel. It's even better taking them out with a shot or two after they have dumped a hopper and reloaded a time or two on you and still can't hit you.

i realize that polishing internals wont affect anything but the smoothness of the pump action, and i have herd of people doing this so i was looking to hear from them but i thank everyone for their input cause the more you know the better.

50 Cal: thanks for the welcome and yes ive already had great fun popin people with it (last sat) especial the more arrogent crowd, it took a few hours to adjust from semi to pump, in the first halfhour i forced the pumphandle forward and *thpppp* went the paintball, but i havent repeated that since. there where a few of ust stock players there that day and the refs kept calling us "phantom force", deffinitaly an exelent intro to rec. stock play

oh and this is one more post twards 1million hahahahha
