Do the chord bodies have to be annodized? was thinking about getting one if i can scrape together the money but like the polished color. can i leave it like that?

Yes. The Chord bodies are raw aluminum.
You don't HAVE to ano them. But it looks nice if they do. -
The raw will oxidize if not annoed. It takes but a few months of play and you get little pewter like spots. If you like the color, it can be annoed clear and sealed then.
