Though a stupid question, it's legitimate. I was talking to 'Nerobro, who has supposedly taken AGD tech courses, and he said that he has held and fired a superbolt. He told me that he did not notice any reduction in recoil/vibration and that the bolt felt the same weight. Though i believe you guys on AO, naturally, i would like to know, just how much weight has been taken off from say, an AGD longnosed SS bolt (numbers or percentages are what i'm looking for), and is there really a noticable reduction in recoil? (as if there was a lot to begin with)
Superbolts-do they really work?

Myself and a couple other guys at the class did notice some slight difference. It's difficult to quantify. I took the opportunity to shoot my emag with the stock bolt and then to swap in the superbolt. I did notice a difference. For one I had to adjust the vibration sensor on my WARP after doing this, and second the bolt seemed to return a little lighter and with less of a ping. Holding the two bolts I can feel the weight difference, but maybe it is all in my head. I'm sure Tom can tell us the exact weight of the two bolts.

*drools* Love my Super Bolt, and its SUPER light, the 'normal' stainless steel long nose bolt is like 2.1oz (58g) where the super bolt was 1.2 oz and (32g) and worked flawlessly for me at Country Club after the AGD Tour.

Do a search for superbolt

A good test of the 'regular' vs 'super' bolt recoil is to take two Mags - one with a regular bolt and one with a superbolt. Hold one in each hand then just dry fire them, alternating between the guns.
If you had been able to do that, you wouldn't have started this thread.
Superbolt has MUCH less recoil than the std bolt.
