Any opinions on the DYE Invision goggles ?

I'm looking into a new pair of goggles and wanted some feedback on the DYE Invision's. Are they good goggles ? Good visibility ? How well do the goggles hold up against fogging ?

I may also look at the V-Force Morph's too.

I love my invision. Haven't worn my flex once since I got it. Haven't had a bit of fogging problems either. The new v-force does look pretty hot though. Might have to check that out.

Any problems with taking hits that go through the vents of the mask ? I read a review somewhere where the wearer said he took a direct hit in the vent and it cut his lip wide open. Sounds far fetched but who knows ?

It seems like the Invision is a smaller mask than the JT's. Is that correct or do they pretty much cover the same amount of "real estate" ?

          they are small......

i find if i'm yelling that there's a definate potential for me to eat paint. has yet to happen though.

i have never owned a any JT mask, so i can't comment on that.

overall i like mine, it's the heaviest mask i've ever worn though, and the lens does have some distortion to it. in spite of it not offering great protection for the chin, the slight distortion and the weight....i continue to wear it, and feel no need to buy a new mask.

The googles are designed to break up the shell, but let the maximum amount of paint through (if you get hit dead on in the grill) You eat a lot of paint, but it makes it really hard for the ref to tell you got hit. The other week I was playing at a local field. Got hit directly in the grill and walked off the field spitting paint for the next 10 minutes. The ref came up to me and was why did you get off the field and I said I took one in the mask...he looked and said you sure? There isn't any paint there. I then pointed to the pile of orange spit on the ground.

My nforcer and flex both let paint through the grill and i was so pissed off because it cut my lips wide open. I was so tired of this happening that i got a invision and got hit in the same place this weekend and all i got was a mouth full of paint. It did not taste to good, but it beats having a swollen and cut lip. Also i could not get my invisions to fog, which i also had a problem with my flex and nforcer. Its nice to go all day get hit in the mask googles once and not get a cut lip.

Yeah.. you eat paint when ya get hit in the mouth, doesn't hurt... you just get a mouthful of great tasting paint...

One problem is the inside lens start to crack at the nose.. 3 other guys I play with at my field all had the same thing happen. They all got a crack from the nose of the inside lens upward and when you wash them you get a little bit of water inside..

                Anyone else get this?

If you follow the instructions and DO NOT IMMERSE the lense in water...you won't have the water getting in between the lenses. As far as cracking of the lense near the nose...I haven't had that issue.

I like my invision.....but serusilly I would get a morph or the new one they just realsed...the profiler...

The Invison is very sexy....I have a red one....it fits great on my face....very very comfie....the only thing I dont like is that it does'int breath at all in the eyes...the padding praticly makes a seal and makes you sweat like crazy. Even tho im so hot in the face..it has never fogged....The vision you have with the mask is awsome....even with splatter/whiped off splatter on it you can always see out of it realy well....

I dont like how delecate the lens are...they scrach very easly...you have to use a microcloth to clean them..use anything esle and your gona get major scraches....and its takes a hour to get your mask fully apprt to clean it....its a very vishous mask to clean....

I sereausly would like to have a V-Force....but the invision does look very sexy...and it works great...just actualy maintaing the mask is a major pain...

Im just glad lenes are cheap..cuz ive have already srached one to hell in 2 weeks...

I didn't dunk my lens in water, the reason water got inside of them is because there is a crack on the inside anti-fog lens, I use a spray bottle filled with water to clean my lens and mask. Same place and same lenth crack 3 of the other guys I play with have. We all have different colored lenses and masks and got the same kind of crack. I babied my mask and still got it..

My buddies mask never had a crack but he scratched it all up, so he bought new lens for it and a week later got the same crack in the same place as mine..

Must be a bad batch or something.

Personally I don't like the invision. Its small and feels rather tight. It sqaushes my face, my advice is buy a proflex. Its so light it feels like your wearing nothing.

I LOVE my invision, and wouldnt trade it for anything. Its extremely comfy, good vision, and is real close to your face. Never had a problem with eating paint etc...

EDIT: ya, if you have a big head, or whatever, I Wouldnt recomend it.

I've found the invision to be pretty cool looking but it does fit pretty tight, can leave a bit exposed on larger headed guys and the few I've tried on sat really uncomfortably on the tip of my nose. Definately try one on before you decide to buy one.

My morph has been a great mask. It covers everything, bounces paint where it needs to, does'nt let in break on my lips like my flex 7's did and stays clear even in the most chunky Alabama weather.
