WHOA !!!! Can this thing rip or what!?!?!

Sorry for my uber excitement here, but i just got my x-valve and aired it up, after fixing the down the barrel leak by going to the next smaller (1.5 i think) shim, i aired it back up and WHOA!!! this gun is now super rad! It was so easy to shoot with the rt doin its thing! wow. i had never shot an rt or mag with an x or anything so i was really suprized.

I still have a problem. when i first pull the trigger it chuffs, but after that it works just fine... did the squeegy test and everything is fine there too. (even worked up the kahones to put my finger down in there... its just fine!)

so sorry for this just- thought the world should know that im in love with my mag!

Try lubing the bolt stem and carrier oring, or try a smaller carrier oring.

I have done it before and it does hurt A LOT some say it will break a finger pretty good but it just bruised mine a bit. I wouldn't recommend it, of course this was like 6 years ago

lol, i got really board the other day and stuck a plastic pen in to my feed tube, still have L7, and geez, it chewed it up like i vicious dog would with a chew toy, but if i holt it firmly enough it does look like a L10, just makes my hand a little sore from holding it.

anyways congrats on the Xvalve, hopefully i can get one for christmas

              lvl 10

I had the first shot chuff problem too, it needs a lot of oil and some beak in time, I think I ran about 1000 rounds through mine with the first shot chuff.

After it broke in, no problems what so ever.

yup, i got my hands on an old retro last week, i had the same first experience you had....

as for me and my Y frame, using a rail, no drop forward, it is VERY comfy!!! i suggest trying it.

                cheers!

yep... it didnt even come close to hurting... i have a powerfeed mag (until my ule comes tomorrow) so i cant get my tounge down in there... but i would try that out at a feild just to show off! (showing off TK style gets all the chicks haha!) I too have a y grip and didnt think i liked it... until i started shooting with it... MAN it rocks.

I had the first shot short stroke problem too, and adding another shim into the powertube fixed it for me. Not sure if i just happened to do this at the same time my valve broke in or if it actually fixed the problem, but it might help you.

                          Peace,
