Paintball Is Growing

I belive that paintball just keeps getting better, and soon to be the #1 sport in the world. Just look at the picture, we rely on really advanced technology unlike any other sport. And all we want is just to keep getting better and better. Paintball has never been this great, we even have our own fasion, look at the way a paitball player would dress 13 yrs ago nothing like what we have now and our electronic markers.I just thought I had to say this because Paintball is just such a great sport that brings people together. I am proud to be a Paintball Player.

I dont see really how paintball is an extreme sport. I mean look at other extreme sports, skateboarding, vert biking, freestyle moto x just to name a few. In paintball we run around and shoot people, and the worst that happens is a couple of nasty welts or gashes. In any of those above sports, most people have broken bones, fractures, concussion, and other serious injury.

Very intesne, extreme pain, very dangerous. All these words are just not paintball, they are for extreme sports. And paintball wont ever surpass mainstream sports, but i do hope that it climbs up their in the rankings pretty high. Just my opinion.

Which is why it will never be number one. Soccer is the most popular because all you need is a ball and a field to play, not hundreds of dollars worth of equipment. Most of the world would never be able to afford paintball.

Sounds like an extreme sport to me. I really dont care what you call it, all I know is I love to play, and thats all that matters.

Even if we become that popular, we still might not get very mainstream.

Sure, soccer is the number one sport, but do you know who holds the number two spot?

See, can't even spell it right and it's second most popular sport in world.

Also, while PB may be 'extreme' by definition, it doesn't really fit in with the other extreme sports. We have teams, with all players on a field, with ways to score points that aren't determined by judges, and we don't do tricks (well, I guess bunkering is a trick).

And, as stated earlier, we don't break all our bones to play.

So, I consider PB to be a kind of hybrid sport, somewhere between the extreme and the norm, with a hefty bit of technology thrown into the mix. I see it as a next-gen sport, one that'll hopefully eventually get the coverage it gets.

Paintball becomming the number 1 sport? That would be nice, but there are too many limiting factors in that.

1. Location. You can't really run up and down you street playing paint ball, like you can whit a foot ball.

2. Cost. A foot ball is a lot cheaper than a paintball gun, paint, mask, tank, hoses, barrels, etc.

3. Image. People aren't running around "shooting" each other with "guns" in other sports.

Those are all I can think of.
