My friend just got a CP flame drop and asa. The asa slides on to the drop, but it doesnt seem to be capable of staying there on its own. There are no screw holes in it, so i'm not sure how it should stay there. It just slides on, and slides off at the other end. This is a puzzle that cost $30. He is tired of trying to get it to work, a nd so am I. Anyone have experience this?

there are no set screw holes or holes for the ASA to screw into???
The set screw hole is on the top of the drop I am not sure if the drop came with a set screw but you should check that out. -
Their should be a hole in the drop
where their will be a screw at...
you will need an allen wrench to screw that down onto the rail side of the on/offComment

but if ther is a screw in this hole on top of the drop, will the screw not mar the top of the asa????? It looks like the screw will come out the bottom of the drop, and dig into the top of the asa.Formerly ~WarpedRT~

yes
that is what its supposed to do, not go into the asa but apply pressure so the asa will stay there. thighten it until you cant anymore, the screw is dull so it wont hurt the asa. the worse thing it will do is scratch some of the annoe off of the asa but no one will see it anyways.Comment

Yes, that is correct... Thats how it holds it in place.
It will dig into the top of the asa and f*ck it all up, but it doesnt matter, you just hafta deal with it.

Yep that is where it is on the top of the drop. I have one on the old Automag Retovalve. Don't like it though so I am pulling it off. Warn him that they have a tendancy to come loose at bad times so tighten them good.WANG Force!
