to trade or not to trade.help me decide please

ok.i have a 100% stock automag rt that is set up for a remote line.the gun is in perfect shape and works awsome.i have been offered a trade, the trade would be my rt for a 2000 shocker v-sport with vertical feed body, vert max flo and a 9 volt conversion kit.i dont know anything about shockers and have never used one so i dont know what they are worth,if they are a good gun...ect.the trade would be strait up,his gun for mine.
i like the fact that my mag is easy to fix ( replace a o-ring and your done ), i dont know if shockers are hard to work on or not.right now i was also thinking of doing the trade in program for the ule body and x-valve.please give me some input as to what you guys think.
    thanks for the help.

The old shockers are good straight shooting markers. However, they are really, REALLY hungry for CO2(the only way to get ANY efficiency) They don't have an high ROF and they are heavy. I think you would be better off upgrading your mag, personally. Just my .02 cents

keep your mag. I made the mistake of trading my RT Pro for a 99 shocker about a year ago, and I had nothing but problems. Just get ULE, ULT, and xvalve for your gun.

the shocker would be more trouble than it is worth.

stick with your trusty old mag bro.

i donno why people give the shocker such a hard time, i had one and had NO trouble with is, people say its heavy, but most have never held one, mine was lighter thatn my cocker that i had at the same time, also, the ROF is not bad, i could shoot it faster than my mag, and with alot less effort, it also got alot tighter shot groupings than my mag or cocker (scince its electro and the other 2 are not, then it moved less when pulling the trigger) the only complaighnt i had about mine was that it was tall, if you play back, or mabey even mid, then it will be fine, but i had some trouble with it in the front, i do think that the shocker for RT would be a fair trade

You should try a shocker before you trade. The size is a bigger diference than weight. There is no doubt that they are big.
As for ease of maintenace, they are easy to maitain, but not easy to fix. You need several diferent tools to disasemble, and they are rather complex inside. The fact that they are electronic guns, means that if the electronics get damaged, you are SOL.

I would advise you to keep your RT and upgrade to the ULE and X valve.
