    Why did I chop?

Ok, I have a slider triggered cocker with an egg2 on it (I really like 'em and it was a present). I have sound clips of me doin 11bps.. way below the max bps of the egg. The speed selector was maxed.

Playing one game I came up and was shooting and plew... goo out the end of my freak. Crap. So I think its a barrel break and keep playing when it happens again. After the game I noticed the breach and feed neck were full of paint too. Chop. But how....? Short stroke? I have been using that cocker for a very very long time, yeah everyone short strokes every once in a while but twice in one game? Could it even have been a short stroke? I just have no idea what happened...

*edit* even if it was a short stroke... if the bolt only cycled enough for the ball to clear before coming forward... why didn't the ball fall fast enough not to get pinched in half?

Sometimes p-balls get hung in the neck. It happens. Nothing to get all wound up about.

Having an UBaR fast loader wont eliminate 100% of chops..
          Its still possible.. I think

Once you chop one ball, the tendancy to chop after that until its cleaned is extremely high. The paint chips in there and the paint itself just creates a bunch of problems.

try changing your batteries. my egg gets pretty slow if the batteries arent pretty well charged, or new. also, why dont you try lowering your cocker's operating pressure, just in case it happens again, and then you wont chop, well, hopefully you wont chop.

                as it has been said,

it is VERY possible you short stroked. stuff happens..things arnt perfect

and yes, once you chop ONCE, your likelyhood increases exponentially
