    input pressure for inpulse????????

I have finally decided what gun i am gonna buy. I am getting an adrennline imp. I want to know the imput pressure so I can tell if I am better off buying it with a lp max flow tank or a hp max flow thak and duel reging the beast.

I put an I-Frame on my Nasty and it just made that gun tear hardcore with the cricket board in it.

As far as comfort goes I like the OTB frame, but its definately not as fast as the I-Frame. I choose speed over comfort

Hands down the I frame is the BEST frame for the Imp. I have shot the AI frame, the Eclipse Magno blade and an OTB shocker. The I frame is the tightes, lightest and shortest trigger out there.

As for the imput pressure. If you have a LPR kit, which all new aftermarket Imps have you want to run between 200-240 into the gun. Let me explain.

There are three ways to adjust velocity in the Imp w/ LPR.

            1. Dwell. The two little holes on the right side of the tray right above the grip. Pressing the froward on makes the dwell longer. The rear one shorter. The dwell is how long the valve stays open.

            2. Input pressure. If you have an LPR it seperates the air that fires the gun from the air that cycles the gun. With a high imput pressure and a low dwell you have higher pressure at the ball, but the valve stays open for a shorter period of time.

            3. LPR pressure. If dwell and imput pressure stay the same the LPR can control velocity. Increasing it will open the valve more and decreasing it will open it less.

If you balance these forces you can get greater effiecency and a LVL 10 like bolt pressure. My Imp has Rat internals an LPR kit and an I frame. I run 230 into the gun with about 10 "beeps" of dwell and the LPR turned down real low. I get alot of shots out of a 68/45 and I can stick my finger in the breech like I have Lvl 10 installed. It is different from gun to gun, but this set up works best for me.

Some people would argue the OTB 90* frame is better then the iframe...
so it more of a personal choice...
the stock frame is great too...
Also you can use a AKA sidewinder vertical reg on the impulse...
thous things look sweet on it...
no need for an adjustable tank on it...
But i would suggest an AKA sidewinder
              and a 68/45 crossfire tank...

I reference to your reg question. I run a horizontal Max-flo with a Hi. press. PMI tank. 850 out of the tank 230 out of the max-flo and a gas thru foregrip. With the I frame it is incredibly small and light. And Insanely FAST.

                  200-240 will blow your solenoids.

                    1. The Impulse only has 1 solenoid

                    2. which is more important is that he is talking about with an LPR KIT! The LPR lowers the preassure going to the solenoid to around 80psi, maybe less maybe more depends on your dwell. I ran my Impulse at 300psi at times and was getting amazing results efficencey wise. At 280+ though many stores have documented the delrin valve bending from the preassure.

ok do all imps have the two holes on the tray to adjust dwell? also do all imps have removable feed necks? I ask cause a local store has a evil imp for sale That I like but I want a smaller feed neck. also I have heard many stories of people getting the bolt pressure down low enough to "bounce off a ball. If this is such a common thing than why do they have such a reputation as blenders. Mind you I am very new to imps. How many of you have gotton your your imp to do this?(bounce off a ball)
