would evo2 shells fit on an evo1?

I dont see why they wouldn't from the pictures Ive seen the evo2 board battery clips and motor are all the same as the ones in my evo1.

I was thinking Id be able to transplant my board and motor into a new evo2 home. I think it would work, the boards and motors look the exact same.

i know the motors are the same b/c they are revvy motors... but i heard (at least i think) that there is basically nothing compatible between the two other than the motor.
