What do you think of the Mac Dev Max Attack

I just bought one for my bro for $85.00. Was that a good deal? I havn't recieved it yet and am going to give it to him for Christmas, but is there anything I need to know? Does Mac Dev have good warranties? How am I going to set it up? I know that the valve needs some kind of different set-up than most tanks. It is a 68 3000.
    I have no Sig.

Thats a $400 tank that you got for 80. One of, if not the, best tanks on the market today.

MacDev no longer makes the MaxAttack. They make the Conquest, sort of an upgraded MaxAttack. Still, a good deal for $80.

They're the USA warranty repair shop, if you ever need service/support. www.macdev.net

I don't know why everyone says that the Conquest is such a good system. I have one, and it's no better than my Flatline, and only weighs 1 ounce less (I often hear that it's sooo lightweight!). It also has a max operating pressure of 650psi. Barely enough to power the E-Mag. It must also be double-regged. The on/off lever can be a real PITA to operate, especially with output pressures near 600psi.

      Don't believe the Hype!

well for 80 that ain't bad, but the max attack is not good, spikes bad sometimes, and no its not a top air system on the market, and no there not worth 400, maybe 175 new.
around here there are about 7 of';em, and all of'em are are pretty bad, bad recharch, can't single reg. and spikes and drops are normall.
well thats just what i've experienced. maybe its just all 7 are lemons

Wow, well...thats.....real encouraging guys. So should I get rid of it, or is it worth $80.00? My bro only has a Piranha.

i have a 68/45 max attack. i think its well worth every penny. i have a very consistent velocity and no drop off during rapid fire. i suggest that you use the tank on your gun to see if there is any problems with it.

Russ:my max has an output of 900+ so maybe your tank is an LP version or soemthing. and i dont have any other regs but my AIR valve.

actually, my friend has one, when they were still being made they were running for around 400, not 175. My friend loves his, and i think it is a great tank as well. You got a steal at 80 dollars. You and your bro will like this tank, trust me.

                  $80! Sweet find!

Yes its a great system. Just before the Conquest came out, I went on a search to find the best on the market.

I tested every high end system. I did these test all on my Angel or others' Angels. I finally got to test a MaxAttack... Wow! It was very impressive.

The Conquest does have some upgrades but if you have Gramps overhaul you MaxAttack it will be outstanding for you.

mac2k4 mentioned spiking... That can only happen if there is dirt in the reg, the seat is damaged, worn orings, or maybe a need for both cleaning and lubing. Yup, send it to Gramps to make sure its in good shape and them follow the maintenance instructions on the MacDev site.

Mac...two words. User Error. If your friends were all getting fills from the same place, then maybe the problem is/was dirty fills. I've been nothing but pleased with my Max Attack.
