    Threaded warpfeed neck ....

Just had an idea on the way home today, no clue if it has been discussed before.. You have all these companies making differnt feed necks for bodies.. High rise.. low rise. no rise.. clamping..

Why not make a Warp Feed neck.. Angel threaded made of aluminum thats designed to screw directly into the body and the hose to plug directly into it.. All you would have to do to make it L or R feed would be to adjust where the threads start (end), no? Seems like it would be a nice alternative than those cheesy plastic elbows...

    Just a thought :)

They make those, i had one for my impulse... you need a 90* adapter to use it though... well i suppose you could use the hose straight to it.

Rotary Tool magic on the 90* that came with the WARP.
Take off the clampdown ears and it fits great.

I never thought of using a rotary tool....I used a lighter, a knife and some sandpaper but it works fine heh

rkjr is talking about having just the 90 degree adapter(like the PTP) with Angel or other gun threads on it instead of having the clamping part. No plastic elbow and no short straight feed tube adapter. Just one piece.

exactly... something to replace the existing feed neck. having it on top of one just seems too high and defeats the purpose.... why not have an aluminum or whatever elbow that screws directly into the body via angel threads?

If someone made a body that didnt require the plastic 90* elbow for a warp, that would totally kick butt... I hate my 90* elbow, its cracked and is known to fall off every once and a while. I never really thought of buying a warp body, but if it has a non plastic 90*, you can count me in!

I think it'd be a good idea.. Paintball can be a game of inches, with what you expose.. That lil extra showing could me getting marked out or not.. Ya know?

But wouldn't you have a problem with the feed neck lining up the correct way? You'd either have to over torque (Read: Possibly stripping threads) the neck to point it in the correct direction or under torque (Read: Loose feed neck). I suppose you could use loc-tite, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of a threaded feedneck correct?

again, i dont know if its possible but couldnt you make the stop point on the threads determine what way the feed neck (or in this case the warp end) faces?

A thin locking ring at the top of the threads would work. I think this is a very good idea.

Now, if someone will only make a metal elbow for power feed style markers...

still seems kinda high. what if you had the elbow itself made of aluminum and instead of riding on top of the feed neck having threads that directly screwed into the body.. sure its only saving an inch.. but it IS an inch and eliminates ANOTHER part....
